Management Controls Review

A review of management controls and clean-up of a Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) for a District Health Board.

Part of a programme of work to improve the accuracy and reliability of management reporting and related processes informing staffing costs. Engaged to lead a review of the Human Resource Information Management System (HRMIS) including, 5000+ positions, governance/boards, contract calculations, and management controls.

Scoped, planned and lead the project. The project reviewed the HRMIS and staffing management controls. It was run in parallel to regular pay cycles and structural reviews. Lead the business requirements gathering, functional redesign, and test management of complex leave and accrual reports, as well as form redesign of the management dashboard.

The project cleansed significant amounts of data, improved payroll, leave, and training entitlement accuracy and cost information. New crystal reports were developed and implemented, providing improved management reporting. New businesses processes and revised management controls were also implemented.
